Tips for All of our Bloggers Out There
We've had a ton of people reach out inquiring about tips to grow one's platform (followers, engagement, etc.) since we’ve gotten some pretty solid engagement since starting S&T less than 15 months ago.
Let's be honest, insta is saturated with "influencers" and even more specifically, a ton of accounts that review classes + products, discuss health and wellness, and everything else in between. So how do you stand out in the crowd?
There's no secret potion, but since day one, we've tried to keep it as real and authentic with you guys as possible. Throughout the past year, we've discovered a few tips that have personally worked for us and we'd love to share in hopes it may help some of you.
But at the end of the day, don’t take it too seriously! Instagram is supposed to be a fun platform with cool pics + captions.
1. BRING VALUE. This is single handedly the most important. We do our best to have every single post bring some sort of value to our audience - whether it is a class review or tips to cure a cold, we do the research and provide tips and tricks so you don't have to. It's crucial to always be bringing valuable and relevant information so your audience see's a clear purpose for following you.
2. Get out and meet people! A platform like Instagram only goes so far. It makes an exponential difference when you're able to meet and get to know like-minded people, and support one another. Whether this be meeting people in a studio, going to an event or simply going to coffee it provides real, long-term relationships outside of the social media realm.
3. Use your own voice. Yes we all have other bloggers we look up to, but don’t try and imitate their way of speaking or their exact platform. It's really tough to uphold a digital persona that isn't true to yourself and people will be able to see through it. Find your voice and be real, IT SHOWS.
4. SUPPORT OTHERS! We can't say this one enough. Whether you're just starting off on your platform or you have 100K followers, supporting your community creates a positive and uplifting space. Anyone who tries to bring other people down? NOT COOL! Don’t be that person.
But at the end of the day, don’t take it too seriously! Instagram is supposed to be a fun platform with cool pics + captions.
