Recipe: One Pan Baked Ziti
This one pan baked ziti is your next meal on rotation. It’s literally so easy, you don’t even need to boil the pasta! I made this on Sunday evening and it was the ultimate comfort meal. Cooking the pasta in the sauce makes the flavor and texture on another level. Watch the recipe reel here.
Ingredients:
Ground beef
16 Oz ziti or penne pasta (use a chickpea or lentil pasta for added protein)
24 Oz marinara sauce
Onion
Garlic
Ricotta
Parmesan
Mozzarella
Seasoning: Oregano, S&P
Fresh basil
Directions:
Cook ground beef on stove in large pan with onion, olive oil, oregano, minced garlic, salt and pepper
Once meat is cooked, add in one jar of marinara sauce, one 16oz bag of pasta, and 2 cups water
Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
Mix in parmesan then add large scoops of ricotta into pasta
Pat down pasta to create a flat surface and top with mozzarella
Place in oven on broil until brown
Top with fresh basil. Enjoy!
