REVIEW: The Bar Method, Newport Beach
New studio alert! We got to try out the brand new @barmethodnewportbeach and this studio is what all our Pinterest interior design boards are made of — chic, bright and glam. It has a full locker room with showers, amazing products (drunk elephant + drybar) and space to comfortably get ready before work. The class was a mix of toning and stretching, and offers different levels of each exercise to push yourself as much as you can throughout. Also we just have to say the carpet is like walking on a cloud.
About the Workout:
The Bar Method is an OG in the barre scene and have really perfected their technique. One of the main reasons we love it is because the workout targets specific areas that are hard to reach, has a big focus on posture and flexibility, and is easy on your joints. The class starts with a warm up on the floor, then booty and leg work at the barre, and finishes back on the floor with core exercises. You mainly use your body weight, but some moves require a small ball or light weights. The workout gets your heart rate up, but it is still a lower intensity. Sweat level is minimal, but you will feel sore the next day from shaking and tiny movements, trust us!
