I tried out The Pursuit while I was back in my hometown, Bellevue, and fell in love. I’ve lived in CA for almost 8 years now, and only became an avid Megaformer pilates fan probably 3 years ago so I never even knew what these studios were several years back!

Now that Megaformer pilates is one of my favorite workouts, it’s usually the first on my list to find a studio whenever I’m traveling. This was my first workout back home over the holidays and thought I would just “do something active but not too challenging” boy, was I wrong.

This studio kicked my ass. I walked in confident, thinking that Washingtonians taught Pilates classes that were nowhere near the difficulty of all the CA studios I’ve gone to but 5 minutes in I was like wow, WTF this is harder than any other class I’ve been to.

This class was fast paced so you can’t skip a beat. Definitely felt like an advanced class where you tone so many different muscle and do so many moves, that it made both your mind and body work. The teacher offered valuable tips and modifications to make the moves even more challenging and to ensure form is correct. It was very clear that she knew what she was doing, which isn’t always the case with studio instructors!

Both the teacher and the studio owner were extremely friendly and the studio was welcoming overall. You could tell that they have a strong community of dedicated studio goers. If I lived in Bellevue full-time, I would definitely be here on the regular.
